Surprise

I've never been a cactus girl

They just aren't my style

......that is until I found one growing

on the edge of our property

......and hubby was about to mow it down!!!

I just couldn't let that happen

so I dug it up and put it in a pot

fast forward a year.......

I had a lovely SURPRISE this morning......

My Prickly Pear Cactus

is in bloom!!!!

I can't tell you how excited I was

to see these beautiful flowers

Who says a cactus isn't a thing of beauty

and that a girl can't change

"her style"
