A Beautiful Day

We woke up this morning to a blue sky day
Temps in the low 80's

........so we decided to get the boat ready
and head for the coast

We launch at Seadrift, Texas
about 45 minutes from our house

It just doesn't get any better than this!!

Hubby fished

I enjoyed the sun and sea air,
read my book,
and snapped pictures of
the beauty all around me

Caught this guy making his landing!

This barge came by
while we were docked

It got the dolphins stirred up
and they were popping up everywhere
but I couldn't get a picture
they move too fast

It's the last day of November
and we spent it out in the sun
enjoying God's beauty

Simple Sideboard

I'm continuing to keep it simple
as I decorate my sideboard

This year I went with a "snow" theme
Snow men, snow flakes,
and a let it snow chalkboard
(wishful thinking in South Texas)

and I topped it all off with this
cute little angel

Dining Room finished!!

......Now on to the living room

A Blue Christmas???

Continuing to keep it simple.......

Yesterday I decorated my
dining room table

There are hints of blue
in my dining room

...so I decided to
step out of my comfort zone
and decorate my table
with a blue Christmas theme

I used the mason jars that I had tinted blue/green
filled them with ornaments and put a small
jar in the top with a candle

Found the cute bottle brush trees at
Hobby Lobby
Perfect size to sit in a tea cup
I don't have much wall space
in my dining room
but I love this art piece
of an old blue french door

 the blues don't all match
but I'm kind of a
mix and match gal

Simple Christmas

I'm trying to do simple this year
when it comes to decorating my home
for Christmas

Not sure I'll be able to pull it off
but I'm going to try

Years past I start simple
but over time it turns
into a winter wonderland
that covers every square inch
of my home

My motto for this year
K. I. S. S.

Yesterday I decorated my
table on the screened porch

Doesn't this look simple but pretty

I love decorating with mason jars!!!!

A mini Christmas tree
in a shabby bird house
That's Every Little Birdie's style

Found the little thin silver trees at Walgreen's
last year on the 75% off rack!!!!

I think I've done a good job so far
of keeping it simple

Check back in a day or so to see if
I'm still decorating

Now that Thanksgiving is over
I'm dreaming about
Christmas decorating

Here are some styles
I love and would like
to incorporate into my
decorating this year

Saturday in the country

We woke up this morning
and decided it was time to
head outside and
work off all that holiday food

Hubby fixed a big bowl of
piping hot malt o meal,
to warm us up since it was cold outside
then we headed out to trim branches
and cut down a couple
of dead trees

one down, one to go

Once we had a pile of branches
we started our burn pile

While hubby tended the fire
I loaded the wheel barrow
with more wood

but not everyone was hard at work
I guess someone had to supervise

Hubby fed this fire with branches
and tree trunks all day long

Pixie rewarding Hubby for all his hard work

We love our country life!!

From sitting on the screened porch drinking
our morning coffee
to working outside cutting down trees

.....it's all good

I love tending this beautiful piece
of land where God has planted me!!
