where we cook all those
yummy meals
I had so much fun designing this kitchen
I was full of ideas on how to make this
I was full of ideas on how to make this
my dream kitchen-
This was my wish list--
This was my wish list--
- small desk for phone, recipes, & notes to self!!
- a shelf over the desk for cookbooks and decor
- I wanted at least one glass front cabinet for my crystal
- a butcher block island for chopping and working dough
- a shelf to display my collection of blue dishes
- hubby wanted a Viking cooktop
- and what about a big bar top to eat at or for our guest to watch us cook!
- I also wanted to mix things up a bit by using some stained cabinets and some white for accent.
From dream to reality....................
First, here is my little kitchen desk-
I love this for keeping clutter off my counter tops |
and my shelf above the desk
Perfect for my cookbooks and kitchen decor |
I found these two cute metal magnetic boards
to hang coupons, recipes, & notes to self!!
Every Little Birdie loves her cook book titled "How to Cook Everything"!! |
My glass cabinet for pretty glassware -
I had lots of fun designing this

Then I found this wire
basket -
It's perfect for my wine cork collection
& my Bon Appetit magazines!!
Yes, I drank all those bottles of wine, but not at the same time!
My scott towel holder has a birdie on a perch |
My blue dish collection looks so pretty on this shelf above my kitchen sink |
My daughter gave me this wonderful 3-tiered basket to store my fruits and veggies |
My sister gave me this print which I cherish Can you guess what my favorite hymn is?????? |
a little farm house charm |
Last but not least....
Our cooking station
Yes, hubby got his Viking Stove!! |
I love my mantle above the stove turned out just as I had envisioned |
I choose this for the focal point over the stove |
My friend, Janie, at Villa Sartain gave me this beautiful container to hold my cooking utensils |
Two more house warming gifts that I adore The blue is so pretty |
