About Me

Welcome to my blog. I'm so glad you dropped in for a visit.  I would love for you to become a follower of  Every Little Birdie

Let me introduce myself. I'm first and foremost a TEXAS girl, southern born and bred....however, there is a lovely splash of English in the mix ........my mom was an English war bride who was swept off to America during World War II by a very handsome Army solider, my dad.    Even though I'm a 6th generation Texan I also love to claim my English heritage.  (ie.  my house does not have a yard.......it has a garden and yes I do love my cup of tea)

I've been married 48 years to the love of my life, my best friend and the guy who can always make me laugh. We have two amazing children and two wonderful grandchildren aka the "grands".

2006-2021-We lived most of our married life in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. In 2006 we bought our land which is located outside Victoria, Texas. We love the Texas Coast and decided we wanted a slower pace of life. After spending a lot of time thinking about my dream home I began to design it and finally developed our house plans. In 2010 we sold our home in Keller, Texas moved to Victoria and began to build our dream home on our land. We are now living our dream.  We love country life.......  we start each morning on our screened porch, sitting in our rockers, drinking our coffee, watching the birds and deer, and counting our blessings!!!

2022-  We decided we had one last adventure in us!!  We moved to a tiny town called Smithville, Texas aka The Ville.  It's motto, Small Town, Big Heart!!  and that just about sums it up.  We are living the "small" life now and loving it.  Smithville is famous for the movie Hope Floats which was filmed here.  It's a golf cart town and you can just about go any where in town on you cart.  People are super friendly in the Ville!  We have made so many wonderful friends and are loving our small town life.

We love where God has placed us at this time in our lives. We feel totally blessed! You are never too old to dream and guess what???? Your dreams might just come true.
