Me & hubby are both 6th generation Texans

and proud of it!!!!!

Texas declared their Independence

from Mexico on March 2, 1836.

They WON their independence

at the famous battle of San Jacinto

on April 21, 1836!!!!!

To this day, March 2 is officially celebrated as Texas Independence Day — a state holiday marking the day that Texas seceded from Mexico in 1836
