Architectural Treasures Part I

My friend Judy and I had a
"girl's day out" Friday

We made a trip over to Gonzales

This little Texas town has a wealth
of history behind it and it's town square
is filled with beautiful historical building.

There was one particular building we were
headed to that day.....

This unique and amazing store
has been Written Up in
This Old House Magazine
and the New York Times

Pretty awesome for a shop
in little old Gonzales!!

Let's wander around this unique place
filled with salvaged items from old Southern
Homes dating back to the late 1800's

Every where you look there are
interesting pieces

Don't you love this key collection

Perhaps you could find a few to make your own collection

and don't forget a few key plates

Or how about a lovely door knob???

Are you drooling yet???

and did I mention their great selection of old doors?

That's how we knew about this place, my friend Judy and her hubby
bought a beautiful old front door for their home from
Discovery Architectural Antiques a few years back
It's over 100 years old - talk about an architectural statement!!

Let's stroll through the door isles
Here is my favorite, and yes the black
part is chalk board

I also loved this great screen door

be still my heart

......and of course this caught
Every Little Birdie's eye
the minute we walked into this
Architectural Wonderland

Every Little Birdie says -

Pop in next week to see more of this amazing shop
