Texas independence still alive

Today is the 177th
anniversary of the signing of the
Texas Declaration of Independence
in 1836!!
On that day the Texians officially
broke away from Mexico
and became
The Republic of Texas

Texas still maintains the
fiercely independent spirit
it's always had throughout
it's history

.....  you can still see the
flying over the little
town of Gonzales

or hear the battle cry
Remember the Alamo

while visiting the
Historical Battle Grounds
at San Jacinto
where Texas won the Victory!!!!

Or remember Davy Crockett's
words to the Tennessee congress-

"You may all go to hell, and I'll go to Texas"

Texas is a great state
with a great history
and I can truly say-

I'm proud to be an American......

BUT I'M HONORED
TO BE A
6th GENERATION
TEXAN!!!!

Aaron Cherry Sr. - Arrived Texas 1819
Aaron Cherry Jr. - fought at Battle of San Jacinto
Aaron Cherry III - my great grandfather
William Cherry - my grandfather
Marshall Cherry - my dad
and ME!

Every Little Birdie says-
 Happy Birthday Texas!!

  3. I am proud to be your friend. So few know and honor generational lines back that far. I am working toward that .
