Different NOT less

This post will not have a
lot of pretty pictures
only words.......

but I hope you will read it anyway

We have a couple in our neighborhood
that have a grown autistic daughter

Her name is Cassie
She is delightful, funny, honest
and yes, a little different
She is who she is and we love that about her!!

But the world does not like anything
out of the "Norm"

It puts us out of our comfort zone

But different does not mean less

I have first hand experience in this matter
My grandson is dyslexic
He learns differently
It's not a bad thing, just a fact
(actually I consider it a gift)
but our public schools are not set up
for any child that does not fit
the "normal" mold

We need to change our thinking
and understand that people
who think and learn differently
 can make a real difference
in our world

 We need people with
different minds!!!

Some of those who think differently than us
have accomplished great things.....

Mozart, Isaac Newton and Einstein
were all autistic

and the following were dyslexic
Nelson Rockefeller
Alexander Bell
Leonardo da Vinci
Pablo Picasso
George Patton
John Lennon
Steven Spielberg

different minds, but great minds

Every Little Birdie says,

Let's embrace our differences
and learn from one another
