Waltzing across Texas Part 1

We've been waltzing our way
across Texas with my
English family

We left Victoria Monday
and headed to New Braunfels

We stayed at Gruene Estates

We love this charming property

Plenty of outdoor places to relax

The Brits try their hand at horse shoes

One evening we had a chance
to feed these long horns

Helen and Yvonne in front of the
little chapel on the property

 If you've ever been to
Gruene, Texas
you know it's a happening
place especially at night

We had dinner at the Gristmill River Restaurant
next door to Gruene Hall

and then caught some great music
at Gruene Hall
"Oldest Dance Hall in Texas"

Tuesday we drove around the Texas Hill Country

Stopped in Fredericksburg for lunch
and some shopping for the girls
Nimitz Museum for the boys

What's for lunch?????

 Chicken Fried Steak
(They can't get enough of this Texas meal)

 The girls shopping

 We stopped again in Bandera
(Cowboy Capital of Texas)

and yes, there was more shopping!!!

After a full day of sight seeing
in the beautiful Texas Hill country

We headed to Gruene for some liquid refreshments
The wine bar for the girls

Shiner beer and more music at Gruene Hall
 for the boys

Every Little Birdie says-
Join us in my next post
as we tour "Big D"
