As some of you may remember,
I had my first booth last November
at the Victoria Market Days
Every Little Birdie is going to market again this year.....
my next booth will be at the "Goliad Market Days" in March
Goliad is a much bigger market with lots of traffic so I'm hoping to do well
I've been working like mad trying to build up my
inventory for my March booth
I spent all day Saturday
in the garage painting
I'll show you my chalk boards and the little table in a day or two when they are finished however, I did managed to finish one chair!! |
I didn't get a before picture of this chair
but it was dark wood and not in good shape
I found it at one of the flea markets in town
It originally had a cane insert in the seat
A good sanding and a coat of chalk paint helped
but it needed something else.......
It needed some bling!
I told hubby my idea and he helped
me add these eye screws so I could
hang a couple of old spoons
I love the little bit of character
this adds to the piece
When I made up my chalk paint I was going for a green tint but it came out more of a blue Oh well, mixing paint is always an experiment
and of course I think it looks kinda cute
in my bedroom but never fear, come March
it's going to market!!!!!
Every Little Birdie says-
What projects have you been up to???? |

Where and when is "Goliad Market Days" ?
ReplyDeleteGoliad is West of Victoria, Texas where I live. It's off Hwy 183. It takes me about 30 minutes. The market days are every 2nd Saturday from 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. Goliad is a very historical town with a darling town square. It's on my list of "worth a visit" for Texas towns.
DeleteThe chair is so cute with the spoons!
