Vintage Corner

There is a little corner
right off my bedroom
where you'll find
some of my favorite
vintage treasures






the hanky with the pretty flowers
belonged to my grandmother

below it is a very special embroidered cloth

My granddad lost his leg in World War I
He stitched this beautiful piece while he was
convalescing in the English military hospital
.....he gave it to his mum, who passed it to my
Nana, who passed it to her daughter (my mom),
who passed it to me!


I am so honored to have this very special treasure
as it reminds me of an incredibly special man - my grandfather!



my sweet daughter, knowing my love of
all things vintage, gave me this
pretty wash bowl and pitcher
one year for my birthday


It was love at first sight!!!!

........and the table cloth it sits on belonged
to my Nana in England
one of many of her beautiful linens I inherited




Don't you love the delicate
detail in the lace edge

The sweet baby in the vintage
carriage is my granddaughter
(now 11 years old and growing into
a beautiful young lady)

The table is actually an old sewing machine cabinet
......it belonged to Hubby's grandmother
another very special lady in my life
I love displaying and using my
vintage treasures

I think it's a great way to honor the
people in our lives that passed their
treasures down to us
