The Stone

We headed to the hill country

this weekend to spend
time with our good friends
Janie & Allen

(check out their beautiful property - Villa Sartain

on the Comal River in New Braunfels, Texas)

My hubby and Janie had a gig

 Saturday night performing at

the Stone Coffee Shop & Bar

in Gruene, Texas

The coffee shop and outside patio have a lovely casual atmosphere

The weather was perfect for

spending time on the patio Saturday night

Dan and Janie played some of their songs for the group

and then Janie's friend, Frank added his tunes

to the evening

..... it was also fun to wander into the coffee shop

 where you could do a little shopping,

grab a bite, or enjoy a beverage of your choice

It's a very eclectic shop

with books, jewelry, house decor, etc

.... there is even a corner

with beautiful gifts

made by women from

African villages

The Stone is a great place and

I highly recommend

checking it out if you are visiting

the little town of Gruene

We finished off the evening

having a late dinner

with Janie & Allen 

at the Gruene Door Resturant

We sat outside in front of a nice fire

since it was late we had the patio all to our selves

and enjoyed a truly wonderful

dining experience
