Road Trip

We took a road trip this Sunday

 to Madisonville, Texas

 

Our purpose - to visit the

 

Lonestar Farms Miniature
Toy and Teacup Schnauzers!

 

We are looking for our new

fur baby!

 

It was a three hour trip from Victoria

and our timing put us there at lunch time,

so hubby did his magic and

found us a wonderful place to eat

The Sunday Brunch was so delish!

After lunch it was a short drive

out to see the pups

 

This sweet little girl
is 3 weeks old
and so precious

 

and these two sisters are 7 weeks old
and full of mischief

Next we visit Texas T's Schnauzer's

in the San Antonio area

Open House

Our Pastor and his family

just moved into their new home

 

This weekend they had

an Open House/Dedication

 

It was not only a time to open their

home to church family and friends

but also a time to thank God for

this wonderful provision.

 

 

Won't you come in a take a look around.....

 

 

 

The first room you see as you enter their home

is the beautiful dining room

 

Love, love, love, this gorgeous chandelier

 

 

The colors throughout the home

are so rich and elegant

 

 

 

From here we enter the living room

 

Doesn't this look so very warm and cozy?

 

 

The beautiful Master Suite

is just off the formal area

 

 

 

 

How peaceful is this little corner

of the master suite

 

...the perfect place to read and

drink a cup of tea

Walking into the kitchen area

you can't miss this pretty

statement piece

 

I love the blue willow dishes

 

 

AND

Just off the breakfast nook and kitchen

is another quiet spot to

perhaps have morning coffee......

this beautiful home

 

 

I would love to be one of the guest

that spend the night in this

precious room

There are so many things to give thanks for.

 

Thank you Lord that this wonderful family

answered God's call to Pastor

and shepherd our church.

 

They are such a blessing to our church.

 

Thank you that after more than a year in

an apartment they were able to sell their

house in the Carolina's and buy this house.

 

And thank you Lord that they now

have a warm cozy home to call their own.

Resurrected



One day I was at the shop
(Junktoria)

and a man came by with

a old piece of furniture

(actually I should say pieces

because it was in pieces!)

 

Always up for a challenge

I bought it for $15.00

 

I cleaned it, and waxed it with

Annie Sloan dark wax

 

Hubby glued the top piece

back together

and added a dowel rod

 

I bought hardware for

the bottom drawers

 

and since it was missing the

top drawers I purchased

baskets to take the place of drawers

TA DA.........

 

 

 I think it was once a dresser
with a mirror

But now it's a beautiful
Wash Stand!!

 

 

 

 

Who says an ugly duckling

can't turn into a

beautiful Swan!!

 

It now has a prominent place

in my booth, The Vintage Nest

Cozy and Warm

Believe it or not

 

We've had some cold weather

here in South Texas

 

No Snow like much

of the country

 

But a good time to curl up

and stay warm

My talented daughter

shared a picture on

FACEBOOK

I gave her this chalkboard

for her birthday

 

and she used her talents

to write a line from

her favorite hymn

 

 

COME THOU FOUNT OF EVERY BLESSING

 

 

WOW, her creativity blew me away!

 

(as does her love for Jesus)

 

......it so inspired me I got my chalkboard

and tried my hand at a line from

one of my favorite hymns
