Feathering the Nest in 2013

Welcome 2013!!

it's time to put Christmas away...

 take down the tree....

And start thinking about NEW
decorating ideas for the New Year!!

First, on the agenda...
a new and bigger rug for
the dining room

I've already ordered a beautiful
8 x 10 sisal rug that should deliver any day

My current rug is just too small
for the table and this area

I'll post pictures when the new one arrives
and my dining room has a fresh new look

Next, some time this year I want to
have my couch and love seat
re-covered with slipcovers

This is what I currently have in the living room

and this is what I'd like to have

I'm loving this look!!

I also want to replace one of my lamps
in the living room with one like this.....

Isn't this fabulous

and do you remember my
shabby white table
that was behind the sofa????
I had to move it to put up the Christmas tree
and I think it's found a new home
beside the entertainment center

and as I said in a recent Post
I'm thinking about putting my new
wooden ironing board
behind the sofa
when the Christmas tree comes down
(hopefully tomorrow)
I'll let you know if it works in that area

Well, that's about as much dreaming
as my pocket book will allow for right now
but we've got a whole new year ahead of us
so there is lots of potential for further dreaming
about feathering the nest in 2013!!!

What are your new decor goals for 2013??

  3. No harm in dreaming, until it carts you off to the store with a debit or credit card in hand, right? Well, looks like some good ideas you have to put into play. And that lamp is adorable!
